I found this short film orignally on a website (http://www.viralviralvideos.com/2012/08/09/with-a-piece-of-chalk-short-film-about-boy-dealing-with-hardship/) but i noticed that it was on YouTube aswell. This Drama type of film appealed to me because although it has no dialogue, through shots, body language, non-diagetic music and camera angles, the audience are able to follow the storyline. The storyline is a little boy struggling with his life both at home and school, he lets out his emotions and copes through dance from his "piece of chalk". It is a very powerful short film, it follows a very simple story line and follows linear narrative and also turns full cirle. Parts of this such as the simple story line, some shots and powerfullness of the music i would like to use in our short film as i think they are very important in short films.
